• Tooth-colored dental fillings. Tooth-colored fillings are a great way to replace silver amalgam fillings that have become worn, discolored, or damaged. Tooth-colored composite resin fillings provide the same level of strength and durability as silver amalgam but with a more natural appearance
• Dental crowns. Dental crowns are custom caps designed to fit over the entire visible part of a tooth, restoring it to its original shape, size, and function. Dr. Tokiko Poppe often recommends dental crowns for teeth that have been broken, cracked, or severely decayed. With proper care, most patients who have dental crowns can enjoy them for a decade or longer. They will need to be replaced if chipped or broken, as this can leave the underlying tooth susceptible to further damage and infection
• Dental bridges. Dental bridges may be an ideal solution if you need to replace one or several missing consecutive teeth. A bridge consists of false teeth (pontics) that are supported on either side by two dental crowns. The bridge is then permanently bonded to the surrounding teeth and provides a strong, secure replacement for missing teeth
• Dentures. If you are missing several or all of your natural teeth, dentures can be an excellent way to restore your smile and ability to eat and speak properly. Dr. Tokiko Poppe offers both complete dentures as well as partial dentures for those who still have some of their natural teeth in place
• Composite resin bonding. Composite resin bonding, sometimes referred to as dental bonding, is a quick and relatively affordable restorative treatment that can be used to repair teeth that are chipped, cracked, or discolored. Dr. Tokiko Poppe will apply composite resin directly to the affected tooth and then shape it into place to create a beautiful, natural-looking restoration
